Lack of Education Creates Lack of Empowerment

Yesterday we chatted about taking back power of the short sale process. We referred to it with respect to negotiators soft selling you, trying to evade fees.
Please understand that we are not saying that the lender workers are bad people, but as short sale professionals, we must comprehend that the lender does not have any power of us as short sale professionals.
Think for a second, why is it that we woke up one day and resolved to go get a job? Back in the 1800’s, there was a general position that we needed to train people how to be trained and follow instructions. In general, they wanted citizens to go to a job, do their jobs, and go home.
This fashioned a real lack of empowerment that still exists nowadays. So, be aware of that the lender negotiators are just doing what their bosses tell them to do. They are following the guidelines of their profession like fine little foot soldiers. They don’t always think about the business choice behind the short sale.
So, the significance is straightforward today. We, jointly as a people, have been educated for hundreds of years to NOT be empowered. That mindset needs to adjust in order to be very succesful as a short sale professional.
